Don’t want to pay for start-up costs? Acquire an existing business.

posted by progobbler in June 25th, 2008
in Business

Many of us who are looking to own a business of our own know that start up costs to any business can be costly. This include the high cost of advertising to get the word out that your business exists. It’s not as easy as it seems and most of the time, we get frustrated and we let go of our dreams because we didn’t anticipate the time and money that goes into start ups to get the business off the ground.

In essence, we get great ideas and yet getting it to market is a big challenge. But don’t despair. There is a quick way to circumventing that frustration. How about acquiring a business that already exists? It’s already up and running and all you have to do is take it over and run it. Maybe there are ways that you can improve the way the business was run by the previous owner that could get the business up another level. There are plenty of businesses businesses for sale out there that could not only save you thousands of advertising and start-up costs. The neatest thing is that the business is already known and off the ground.

There are many businesses available and it all depends on what industry you would like to be in. You can make your choice, think about it a hundred times before jumping in, weigh all the pros and cons and go for it. It’s your business, you have the right to choose it.

The highly-anticipated post - Our Blogging Income since February 2008.

posted by progobbler in June 21st, 2008
in Blogging, Financial Freedom, Making Money   Tags: income from multiple streams over the web

money.gifWe know that most of you have been waiting to find out how we’ve done in the last few months. We haven’t reported our income recently but that’s just because we have been too busy with other aspects of our lives. Yet, blogging has really become a great source of income for us. Just imagine living off of the income you make through blogging (as a supplement of your regular paycheck of course) month after month. It’s exhilarating.

What we do is to use our blogging income for daily expenditures. We have our main paycheck covering all the bills from mortgage to car payments and utilities. But having to live off of your blogging income means we’re saving more each month. The remainder of our regular paychecks goes straight into savings and that’s something we can be proud of. It’s hard work and when we see it pay off, we are ecstatic.

Howelse could it be more convenient?

posted by progobbler in June 17th, 2008
in Business, Travel   Tags: car hire malaga, pablo picasso, spain

We just spent a couple of days with our colleagues from Spain. We are here in Frankfurt, Germany to integrate four countries into our system. We had Czech Republic during our first week and we could call that a great success (with invitations to visit them in Czech Republic anytime!). The week after that was Germany. It was another successful week and we have been pampered by our German colleagues here since we arrived.

This week is Spain and next week would be Italy. Since we are free this coming weekend, our colleagues from Spain asked us if we would like to travel to Spain for the weekend. It would be the best time for us since we are already in Europe. We were invited to spend a weekend in Malaga - which is located in the southern part of Spain on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. They said we could go to Car hire malaga, and hire a vehicle so we could tour the place with beautiful Cathedrals and visit the Pablo Picasso Public Foundation, and enjoy the most beautiful climate Spain could offer.

We could go to a site, compare car-hire prices in the area and get going. We are still throwing the idea around since we are already here and it probably is a chance that will never come around again in our lifetime. The most convenient time to go is now. Hmmm - - thinking - thinking…

A load of thanks.

We have been blessed immensely.  We couldn’t thank our readers more for your support and loyalty to our site.  Random postings are the thing we do these days but we promise, we will be back with a vengeance.  Being out of the country seems to have thrown off our schedules and it would be nice to be back in the same time zone again soon.

The surprising thing is, we get to pick opportunities while you sleep!  :D  It’s feels as if the tables are turned and we know how the Europeans fare out during our night time in the U.S.  We felt that the opportunities are equally distributed between continents and it really doesn’t matter where you are in the world.

Proven:  An opportunity is an opportunity regardless of time zones!

Get ready to pump it up!

posted by progobbler in June 17th, 2008
in Blogging, Business, Gratitude   Tags: , martial arts, sparring gear

We’ve noticed that we’ve really put a lot of time in front of a computer trying to do our best to make sure we are on the right track to financial freedom. The resultes have been very promising and we are extremely excited about it. The problem is, we raerely see the sunshine anymore. :D It seems we’ve become too involved and you know what they say, “All work and no play - makes Pro Gobbler and a dull boy!”

So, our colleagues were discussing a few things that could get us out or get our blood pumping at least. We should have participated in the Frankfurt 5 K run to get some excercise. But we thought it may be a little more exciting if we join a martial arts club in order to get fit and have fun at the same time. Everybody thought that it was a great idea so we started looking for a club where it will be convenient for us, checked out the best sparring gear we could find and get ready to get pumped up for our first session.

Personally, I have wanted to learn martial arts from when I was a little boy. My brothers did it and they seem to have enjoyed it well. Now that they have linked martial arts to a a very good form of exercise to get your blood flowing, it’s not a bad choice at all (as long as we don’t get hit on the nose or something!) ;)

To our readers - - it’s fine to aim high, but don’t forget to play too! You can be more productive if you have that balance. We’re taking our first step - how about you?!

Munich, Prague, or Switzerland?

posted by progobbler in June 17th, 2008
in Travel

There are so many places to see here in Germany however, Frankfurt seems to be a little too dry for us.  The good thing was the little break we had over in Amsterdam over the weekend.  It was a great experience and if you get the chance to go there - make sure you don’t miss the Red Light District.

It really is a tourist attraction since it is something that is rare in the world.  The place is clean with a lot of canals.  Take the boat tour as well to visit the Van Gogh house, and Anne Frank House.  These are places that are a must-see when you’re in Amsterdam.

We’re already talking about our next trip.  Where should we go since we’re going to be here for two more weeks?

Suggestions?

Where are the deals?

posted by progobbler in June 16th, 2008
in Blogging, Business   Tags: coupon comparisons, deals, savings

I don’t know if you’re like us but we’re the type of people who don’t want to pay full price for anything. Why do that if you can get it for half the price? If you are really trying to become financially-free, you should be investing in savings now rather than later. There are many ways to get the things that you normally buy at discount prices.

Use coupons, go to the discount stores or wholesale stores. The cents you save are not small stuff in the long run. DealKing.com is an online service that is dedicated to provide you with the most current discount coupons and offerings available out there. If you shop online, why not get the extra savings before you even spend your hard-earned money.

Saving cents could lead to thousands of dollars. If you wise-up today, you will reap your benefits tomorrow. Just try it for a month and let us know how you do. Believe us — we’ve done it.

Time versus Money.

posted by progobbler in June 16th, 2008
in Blogging, Business, Financial Freedom   Tags: plant now sow later, time versus money

timevsmoney.jpg“You spend that much time in front of a computer blogging?”, said one of our friends. “I don’t even have the time to sit down and watch TV - how do you do it?”

People say that if you want something bad enough, you will be willing to work for it. And if you do, you normally get it. It’s not the time that you put into it, it’s the value of time that would get you closer to your goal in the long term. Why do we blog? We do it for several reasons.

We want to show the world that there is money to be made online.

We want to let the people know that there are multiple streams of income available to you if you look hard enough.

A hobby can be a great income-producing stream.

Euro 2008 is like baseball in the U.S.

posted by progobbler in June 16th, 2008
in Blogging   Tags: baseball games, baseball picks, euro 2008, germany

It’s been an exciting two weeks here in Germany. They are currently in the middle of their Euro 2008 football championships. You would not believe how big football is in Europe until you’re here to experience it. Germany won again tonight giving them a chance for the championship. Office pools are going nuts about the games

I remember at work during the Oriole games while working in Baltimore. We get our baseball picks in an office pool and I believe at one time I almost won. It’s America’s Favorite Past time - - how can you not participate?

They are very enthusiastic here - - I wish I can experience the same thing during the baseball season!

“Be Frugal not Cheap.”, said the wise man.

posted by progobbler in June 16th, 2008
in Financial Freedom   Tags: difference between frugal and cheap, frugal versus cheap, frugal vs. cheap

frugal.jpgWe spend on luxury items too. Don’t think that because we say “save, save, save” all the time, means that we’re cheap. No - there is definitely a difference between being frugal and being cheap. You have to learn the difference. Paying for a 40.00 USD pair of sunglasses versus a 250.00 USD sunglasses is not cheap. It’s being frugal. Why? Because if you’re a person who loses or breaks your sunglasses more than you wear them - why pay 250.00 for it? You’re just preparing for the inevitable. You’re being frugal.

We read an article that pretty much sums it up for all of us.

Read on…
