We at Progobbler are not complicated people.  We enjoy what we do, and we make money while doing it.  There are no pretentious notions, no I’m-up-here-you’re-down-there attitude.  We are who we are and we are having a ball.

A little over a year ago, we decided to open five blogs.  This, as a result of one research we had done while having a blog convention at home.  We received a list of high-paying  keywords on Google.  You would have thought we found the sunken treasure.  Progobblers opened five blogs that day without any proven result on what and how it’s going to pan out.  Are we really going to make a profit?  Is this the right way of doing things?  Many unknowns.

Fast forward a year-and-a-half later.  We’ve made $13K from all that blogging has brought us.  Advertisers and paid advertising in each post have created a nest egg that one wouldn’t have known existed if we hadn’t done what we did.  We are not saying that it will work the same way for all of you, but blogging has provided us an income sufficient enough for anyone who would like to earn a bit of extra either to supplement their current income - or to be able to afford the luxuries of life.

We have done both.  We are proud and we would like to continue to help others to achieve the same things.  Watch out for our “Multiple Streams 101″ series this fall.

This has become an annual tradition for a group of friends in the area.  We pack our bags, we load our cars and we head out to the beach.  Our favorite destination?  Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.  It’s a fun place to be.  There really is no young and old, no black or white, no discriminating lines.  The place is filled with people from all over the world and we have made it our destination every year on July 4th.

We will be bringing back pictures to share with all of you.  Yes, this is an indication that we will be taking a break.  We will be back on business as soon as we return.  Hope everyone gets to enjoy their barbecues, burgers and sweet corn.

Well folks! It has been a great first quarter so far. We’ve worked very hard and we are reaping the benefits of it. Opportunities are up, advertisers are continuously advertising with us and we are very glad about that. We have posted our income since February and we could say, “So far, so good!”.

We went shopping as a token and a reward of the hard work we’ve put in into blogging, eBay, and other streams of income we have. We purchased a brand new, Garmin Nuvi 750 Navigation system. Hey, it’s summer time. Even though the gas prices are beyond obscene - we have several travel plans on the horizon.

We’ve noticed that we’ve really put a lot of time in front of a computer trying to do our best to make sure we are on the right track to financial freedom. The resultes have been very promising and we are extremely excited about it. The problem is, we raerely see the sunshine anymore. It seems we’ve become too involved and you know what they say, “All work and no play - makes Pro Gobbler and a dull boy!”

So, our colleagues were discussing a few things that could get us out or get our blood pumping at least. We should have participated in the Frankfurt 5 K run to get some excercise. But we thought it may be a little more exciting if we join a martial arts club in order to get fit and have fun at the same time. Everybody thought that it was a great idea so we started looking for a club where it will be convenient for us, checked out the best sparring gear we could find and get ready to get pumped up for our first session.

Personally, I have wanted to learn martial arts from when I was a little boy. My brothers did it and they seem to have enjoyed it well. Now that they have linked martial arts to a a very good form of exercise to get your blood flowing, it’s not a bad choice at all (as long as we don’t get hit on the nose or something!)

To our readers - - it’s fine to aim high, but don’t forget to play too! You can be more productive if you have that balance. We’re taking our first step - how about you?!

No matter how you look at it, gas prices are soaring and we can’t bear to pay $4.00 a gallon this summer. Our SUV loan is already paid off and we could trade it in to get the benefit of the blue book value and get a new car (possibly a hybrid) that could save us money in the long run. They are predicting $5.00 a gallon by the end of the year. Let’s hope not.

The battle we are trying to fight now is about the blue book value of our SUV. Due to soaring gas prices, most of the SUV owners are trading their SUVs for a more energy-efficient vehicles. That push has lowered the value of SUVs in the last year or so. Even the car makers have stopped producing SUVs due to low demand in recent months. We wer going to obtain an I guess a new Auto Loan to trade in my SUV but we had to think very carefully.

So if we are to obtain a new car, it is inevitable that we would still need Auto Financing. It’s our loss for purchasing an SUV and it will not be to our benefit to keep it. Either lose more money on gas or drive a newer, energy-efficient vehicle. I think we will go with the latter. We can’t predict the future but we know that gas prices are not coming down anytime soon.

We would like to congratulate our friends in blogging who’s climbed over obstacles and zero page ranks!! They showed us that even without page ranks, you can create an income from blogging. One of them made over $800.00 USD in three months.

So folks, if you think that having a zero page rank is a deterrent in creating income through blogging, you are mistaken. We have received proof from many of our readers that it is still possible. Granted, the opportunities offered to you without a page rank could be less than the other who do. The secret is to keep on. Do not walk away from it because as soon as Google re-ranks your blog, you could jump from zero to four and then you will realize that with constant entries on your blog, a page rank four is not impossible.

When you receive an opportunity and it is knocking at your door, don’t let it get away.  Grab every opportunity that you deem to be worthwhile.  It does knock a little soft sometime until you take a closer look.  When you do, you’ll find out that the small opportunities do amount to big ones down the road.

That is what Pro Gobbler has done.  Taking opportunities a little at a time has given us the power to leverage the big ones.  It isn’t the size of the slice, because you must remember that the slice is only a piece of a big pie.

Keep on . . . don’t lose hope.   Blogging is an evolution.  If you feel like giving up - blog hop.  You will find many inspirations out there that could give you a boost.  Blogging is still in its very early stages although it’s been around for a long time.  There will be many opportunities and if you let go now, you might be giving up the big pie that awaits you.

I recently had a comprehensive physical (yes, that means everything). I was having trouble with getting fatigued and running out of breath easily. I decided to pay my doctor a visit (a new doctor I might add) to find out if there’s anything amiss. Blood tests were ordered, and the complete physical. The result? I’m anemic. He stated that it could be the reason why I get tired easily. He prescribed iron pills and vitamin C to be taken together daily.

The reason why I am writing about this was the fact that transferring my medical files from my previous doctor to my new doctor took a while. I cannot simply show up there and get the physical until my new doctor had the chance to review my previous medical records. Either that, or I will have to fill out long forms to provide them the same information that my previous doctor already had. Why can’t there be a central repository for these records? Wouldn’t it be nice if they could simply log in and verify my medical information online, provide me my prescription through an e-Prescribing process where I can easily receive my prescription medication using electronic transmission of prescription information between my doctor and the pharmacy? To my surprise, that technology is available today. There is a software where they could be electronically connected (both doctors and pharmacists) where a prescription can be transmitted providing dosage, frequency etc. directly. Lower chance of errors, it’s electronic so it’s faster. How about that?

I said I won’t be posting for the weekend but this technology just blew my mind away. I thought I’d share.

We try to come up with what rewards we’re going to give ourselves if we meet our goals. Now, for the really big win. This is if we get to reach our goal in less time than we anticipated, and adventure such as going to the South Africa hunting safari would be awesome. Even if we don’t get to hunt, just to visit the African Safari could be a very big win for us.

Goal setting is one of my primary jobs as a Project Manager and in order to lead a team effectively, I always make sure that we provide them with the rewards they deserve. It not only creates a good morale, it also builds cameraderie among peers. And we love giving rewards specially if the goals we’ve set are met without a glitch or met sooner than expected. The milestones we create are realistic milestones. Simply said, this blog has reached higher than we set it to reach. It is barely a few months old and we’re already reaping the benefits from it.

That is why we advice our readers to set goals, achieve it and accept your rewards. Nothing could be more satisfying than that.

One of our older blogs was simply sitting idly.   We’ve updated it, placed content on it but it was one of the blogs we paid less attention to.  Every three or four weeks or so, we would update content and provide insight or humor about several things.  Remember our advice - - to age your blog?  Posting at least once a week allows your blog to age and be crawled by search engine bots.  When you do this, you have a better chance of receiving a rating from Google.

Guess what?  We just checked the PR and it is under PR 4!!  Woohoo!  For a blog we rarely updated to get a rating of PR 4 is beyond us but the surprise was very much welcome.   We will be updating that blog more often and send our applications in to paid programs.   It should be approved in no time.

True.  Surprises can be pleasant as well.
